Folding Halloween Patterns for Children - Paper Pumpkin Ornament

Printable Hanging Paper Color Book Halloween Ornaments for Young Children

Introduce the art of kirigami paper cutting and folding and concepts of symmetry with this beginning level pumpkin ornament folding pattern.

These are the materials you need on-hand to make this pumpkin ornament.

You can also substitute colored felt or foam sheets for the paper. You'll have to trace the pattern onto those materials.

Print the pattern below on orange construction paper and cut out along the solid lines. Fanfold the sheet of paper strips and staple at the top end.

Gather the other ends so the tips of the strips can be stapled or clipped together just like the top of the ornament. This will form the bubble shape for the pumpkin ornament.

Print the leaf pattern on green construction paper. Cut out the entire leaf pattern then fold in half to carefilly snip the slit hole opening so the leaves will slide easily over the top of the ornament.

Hang with black or brown yarn to form a stem.
