Welcome to the home of the unique and original Gumby Cone pattern idea. I named it this (apologies to Gumby doll), because the resulting cone resembles the Gumby doll with his crooked head.
One day, while trying to chip out enough frozen ice cream for an ice cream cone out of a hard brick that I'd just extracted from the dark depth of my freezer, It dawned on me that if I just use a knife and cut off a rectangular hunk, then diagonally slice the rectangle to form two triangular pieces of ice cream, the two triangles would neatly slot into my sugar cones, no fuss and less muss. Of course you have to start with ice cream in a square or rectangular box, not a tub, for this to work.
The result is sort of an off balanced Gumby-looking ice cream cone.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. That little poem hit me before I can even remember and I love it because it's absolutely true. I've never met anyone who doesn't love ice cream.
